Sölvi Geir Ottesen Jónsson (born 18 February 1984) is an Icelandic footballer, a centre-back. He is currently playing for Chinese Super League club Jiangsu Guoxin-Sainty. ==Club career== Born in Reykjavík, he started his career at Vikingur, where he came through the academy. Ottesen made 32 appearances for Vikingur between 2001 and 2004. Ottesen signed for Swedish side Djurgården in 2004 after being an integral part of Vikingur's fortunes. He was capped 35 times, scoring 2 goals for Djurgården. Following a string of impressive performances, he signed a three-year contract with SønderjyskE who play in the Danish Superliga. On 18 June 2009 it was reported that Ottesen would be going on a trial with Glasgow Celtic in Scotland. Icelandic newspaper Fréttablaðið stated that he had been invited to train with Celtic during pre-season with a view to a deal subject to a permission from his Danish club, SönderjyskE. In June 2010, he signed a three-year contract with defending Superliga champions F.C. Copenhagen.〔(F.C.
